Photography Skills
Taking better source images — composition, light, exposure, and shooting products, food and portraits.
Every editing problem is cheaper to solve at capture time. A photo lit from the right direction needs no rescuing; a subject separated from the background needs no cutout; a straight, evenly-lit document scan needs no correction.
These articles cover the fundamentals — composition, the exposure triangle, white balance, reading a histogram, why photos come out blurry — and then apply them to specific jobs: product shots on a white background, flat lays, food, interiors, headshots, events, pets and reflective goods. Most assume a phone and a window rather than studio equipment, because that's what actually gets used.
